Carolina Catmen Points Series Prize Fund is at $1000.00 but may increase.
Teams wishing to participate in the points championship must register as a team with a team profile.
20 points will be awarded 1st place, 19 points for 2nd, 18 points for 3rd, 17 points for 4th, 16 points for 5th, and so on down the field.
 
In case of any tie for any position , all teams that tie for a position will receive the points for that position.
 
Entry Fee
 
Entry Fee for Regional Tournaments will be $65.00 (cash only) with $50.00 going to payback & $15.00 to operation fund. 50% of payback to 1st place, 30% to 2nd, and 20% to 3rd.
Big Fish Entry Fee for Regional Tournaments will be $10.00 (cash only) with 100% going to Big Fish Winner
Entry Fee for Championship Tournament will be $130.00 (cash only) with $100.00 going to payback & $30.00 to operation fund. 50% of payback to 1st place, 30% to 2nd, and 20% to 3rd.
Big Fish Entry Fee for Championship Tournaments will be $20.00 (cash only) with 100% going to Big Fish Winner

Carolina Catmen Rules 2010
 
 
1. This is a team event. Team will consist of one or two persons with two exceptions. A third person may accompany the team provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. A forth person may accompany the team provided the two extra persons are under 16 years of age . Six (6) rod limit rule still applies. Only two fish allowed over 36”per team still applies.
 
2. In case of extreme water/weather conditions, Carolina Catmen directors reserves the right to postpone or cancel this event with the return of entry fees. (Relocate & Reschedule may be applied)
 
3. Sign up for qualifying events will be accepted between 4:30 AM and 6 AM on the day of the tournament at the blast off location or at the mandatory pre-tournament meeting at 5:30 AM for daytime events, and between 4:30 PM and 6 PM on the day of the tournament at the blast off location or at the mandatory pre-tournament meeting at 5:30 PM for nighttime events.
 
4. Boats will leave launch site, by land or water by boat number determined by order of registration at 6 AM for daytime events or 6PM for nighttime events. Trailering will be allowed.
 
5. Teams must compete from a boat and remain in the boat during competition. Fishing within 50 yards of a marina gas pump or within 50 yards of a competitor's boat, which was first anchored, is prohibited.
 
6. All fish weighed must be caught by rod and reel only. A maximum of 6 rods per boat may be used. No catfish may be taken from castnet trap, trot, jug, or limb lines.
 
7. Teams must comply with state fishing and boating regulations, including the use of PFDs and kill switches. Fishing and boating licenses are the responsibility of team members.
 
8. Fishing hours for daytime events shall be 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. All anglers must be in the weigh-in line by 4:00 PM. Fishing hours for night tournaments shall be 6:30 PM Saturday until 3:00 AM Sunday and must be in the weigh-in line by 4:00 AM.
 
9. Any legal commercial or natural bait will be allowed. No fishing known chum holes. Fish must be a minimum of 15" in length to be weighed. Only two fish allowed over 36”per team.
 
10. Blue Cat, Channel Cat, or Flathead Cat may be weighed. A team limit of 5 fish maximum must be alive to weigh in during daytime tournaments. A team limit of 3 fish maximum must be alive to weigh in during nighttime tournaments. Only two fish allowed over 36”per team.
 
11. The use of mobile communication devices such as cellular phones, marine radios, etc. to communicate fishing information during tournament hours is prohibited.( Distress or Weather info will be allowed )
 
12. In case of a tie for a qualifying team, a coin flip conducted by the tournament director will decide who qualifies for the Classic.
 
13. Any team having a member who fails or refuses to take a polygraph test or whose condition does not permit administration of a test because of contestant's use of alcohol or drugs will be disqualified and that team will not be allowed to participate in any future Carolina Catmen events.
 
14. Any protest must be made in writing to the tournament director within 15 minutes following the end of the official weigh-in. A protest must state the rule number(s) broken.
 
15. The use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited during any Carolina Catmen activities.
 
16. The use of or display of any tobacco products in weigh-in line, on stage or during awards ceremonies is prohibited.
 
17. Wanton unsportsmanlike conduct may be grounds for disqualification if circumstances require. Decision of Tournament Director will be final.
